Care
of sudden unexpected Illness
To
reach an accurate diagnosis the most fundamental first step
is to take a careful history and carefully listen to our
patients. We will always endeavour to do this and then make
a careful and appropriate examination.
This
enables the accurate treatment of acute conditions and the
management of ongoing illness.
When
necessary we will also arrange appropriate blood tests and
other investigations to help us reach a diagnosis. When
indicated referral for Specialist advice is easily arranged.
Disease
prevention and health promotion
Our health assessments are
aimed at detecting disease at the earliest possible stage
and to give you relevant personal advice about maintaining
and improving your health.
Travel
Health
We offer a full
travel advice and vaccination service to help ensure
a safe and healthy trip whilst abroad.
Malaria
prevention treatments are prescribed in accordance with
the latest recommendations and the practice is a registered
Yellow Fever vaccination Centre.

Family Planning
We can advise you about the full range of contraception
choices after taking a detailed gynaecological history and,
if necessary, examination.
Ante-natal care
We offer a full range of ante-natal services including shared
care with Consultant Obstetricians. Our approach to your
pregnancy is personal and your care package is planned on
an individual basis.
Paediatric
Care
It is always worrying when your child is ill. Prompt careful
assessment by an experienced GP can reduce that worry. Child
care is a fundamental part of our practice here at 73 Harley
Street.
The
recommended developmental checks are offered from 6 weeks
of age onwards with rapid access to highly experienced and
caring Paediatricians for specialist referrals. We are happy
to discuss immunisation concerns you may have to help you
make the right choice for your child.
MMR
vaccination : please note, we do not offer
nor recommend individual vaccinations to children other
than the combined MMR vaccine.
